Last week marked the one-year anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The war has forced millions of Ukrainians to flee their beloved country and seek refuge in neighboring countries and abroad. Severe damage has been caused to the different areas of the country over the years including different civilian infrastructures and healthcare facilities.
We stand with the people of Ukraine in their fight for peace and freedom. Join us in wishing them strength and resilience during this difficult time.
Hello Neighbor is able to help in the warm welcome of Ukrainians coming to Pittsburgh and Allegheny County who are looking to rebuild their lives. As of the end of 2022 Hello Neighbor has welcomed and enrolled 35 Ukrainians in our services. While the Ukrainian Humanitarian Parole program may operate and look differently than many traditional resettlement programs, Hello Neighbor is here to help. Below are some of the services our staff can provide support with:
- ESL Enrollment
- Work Authorization Applications
- School Enrollment
- Doctors Appointments
- Employment Support
