Digital Event/Conference Producer (Hello Neighbor Network)

The Hello Neighbor Network is seeking a Digital Event/Conference Producer for a virtual convening held between April 13-16th, 2021. This person or group will begin their contract in January 2021 through the end of April 2021 to support post-convening production.

Website Development Contractor (Hello Neighbor Network)

The Hello Neighbor Network is seeking a Website Development Contractor for the Hello Neighbor Network. This person or group will begin their contract in January 2021 to suggest a platform and develop a landing page and convening registration countdown page. They will continue working closely with Hello Neighbor to develop a full site by April 2021.

Mom-to-Mom Support Coordinator

The Mom-to-Mom Support Coordinator is responsible for developing one of our newer programs, Smart Start for Refugee Mothers and Children. This role is a hands-on and high attention to detail opportunity to help recently resettled refugee expectant and new mothers navigate Pittsburgh and enroll in critical services that help them move from survive to thrive. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to our mission while learning what it takes to build a nonprofit.


  • Enroll, support, and serve as case manager for new and expecting refugee mothers, including doing intakes, matching them with a dedicated mom volunteer, and supporting them throughout their perinatal journey.
  • Lead recruitment and create enrollment opportunities for new refugee moms — both within the Hello Neighbor program and from other community groups — to join.
  • Provide case management for new moms and volunteers as needed, including referring to external partners and involving the Hello Neighbor team as necessary.
  • Lead volunteer recruitment and training for local mom volunteers, including volunteer training, matching, tracking, and supporting.
  • Coordinate with the Direct Services Coordinator to oversee distributions to new moms including the baby boxes, wishlists for new items, and meal trains.
  • Listen to and identify the needs of our refugee moms and create culturally competent programming and support. Lead our community partner relationships. This includes maintaining a detailed workflow of those relationships, tracking contact information, and representing Hello Neighbor to new and existing partners.
  • Track all partner, volunteer, and mom-to-mom specific donor relationships in an organized and detailed way for relationship building, stewardship and acknowledgement purposes
  • Create and constantly develop benchmarks, logic models, outcomes and outputs for the program.
  • Develop a recruitment plan including marketing materials, a timeline, and execution strategy to onboard refugee moms.
  • Represent Hello Neighbor at collaborative calls and meetings within the maternal health space.
  • Stay up to date on maternal health research outcomes and incorporate into program design and implementation as appropriate.

About You:

  • Minimum of 1-4 years of experience
  • Experience in healthcare related to women’s outcomes and/or social work a plus
  • Previous experience working with immigrant or low-income communities
  • Knowledge of the issues that new and expecting moms face
  • Experience building partnerships
  • Good report writing skills with good interpersonal skills.
  • Must be highly computer literate
  • Is an enthusiastic professional, who is comfortable speaking in public and is able to build relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Masters Degree optional.

Position Details:

  • Part-Time Hourly: $20/hour for 20-30 hours a week
  • Start Date: ASAP or by January 4th, 2021
  • Reports to our Family Services Manager


Hello Neighbor internships are hands-on opportunities to work directly with our full-time staff in the areas of program support, policy development, communications, marketing and fundraising. Hello Neighbor Network Convening & Policy Internship

The Hello Neighbor Network is a collective of grassroots nonprofits working with refugees and immigrants around the U.S. Each year, Network members gather for an annual convening to hear leaders share best practices on immigrant and refugee inclusion and exchange ideas. This year’s convening will be held virtually from April 13-15th. The Network intern will provide support throughout the event and the first half of the Network Fellowship. The Network is also engaging in its second research study and the intern will participate in and help support this work with community-based organizations and university leaders across the country.

About You:

  • Smart and professional with strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently but also as part of a team
  • Good attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent computer proficiency including: Microsoft Office, Canva, Photoshop, Hootsuite and Video-Editing Software (if applicable)
  • Willingness to work on both big and small projects
  • Passionate about refugee and immigration issues
  • Knowledgeable about current events that are relevant to Hello Neighbor
  • You either love social media or your understand the power it can have on building community and are willing to learn more about how to use it effectively for nonprofits

Position Details:

  • Time: (Spring) Minimum 20 hours a week (up to one day in office per week on select occasions). Interns are also asked to occasionally work nights and weekends at Hello Neighbor events as their schedule permits.
  • Location: Virtual with occasional in-office support at 6587 Hamilton Avenue, #1E, Pittsburgh, PA 15206
  • Compensation: Internships include a stipend (depending on number of hours) and school credit (if needed). We will be scheduling interviews as applications are received.
