INTERNSHIPS

Hello Neighbor is currently seeking Fall 2020 Interns. These are hands-on opportunities to work directly with our full-time staff in a number of areas, such as program support, policy development, community outreach, marketing, fundraising, video and multimedia, event planning, and beyond. The right candidates will be self-directed, able to handle multiple tasks and priorities at once, be a hands-on team player and passionate about working with refugees.

Requirements

  • Time: Minimum 16 hours a week (two days in our office).
  • Interns are also asked to occasionally attend night and weekend events as their schedule permits (usually 1-2 times per month)
  • Act 33/Act 34 Clearances (we’ll help you get these if you haven’t before)
  • A driver’s license and car aren’t required, but can be useful and are a bonus

About You:

  • Highly organized and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently but also as part of a team
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent computer proficiency including: Microsoft Office, Canva, Photoshop, Hootsuite and Video Editing Software (if applicable)
  • Willingness to work on both big and small projects
  • Passionate about refugee and immigration issues
  • Knowledgeable about current events that are relevant to Hello Neighbor
  • Public speaking experience not required, but a plus

Compensation

Internships include a stipend (depending on number of hours) and school credit (if needed). We will be scheduling interviews as applications are received.
