<article><p>Hello Neighbor has been expanding our programs and operations since the start of 2022 with the creation and welcoming of new departments and team members. We’ve been hard at work since we began resettlement in January. We had expected to welcome 250 individuals total throughout 2022. However, plans changed and we welcomed 206 individuals in the first 45 days of the year.</p> <p>With a focus on the <a href="https://www.hias.org/sites/default/files/factsheet_afghan_adjustment_act_november_2021.pdf">Afghan Adjustment Act</a>, we are pleased to announce the launch of a new legal department which will be a significant addition to our growing organization. Working from our sunny offices in Larimer, this newly created department will play the unique role of supporting newly arrived refugees, asylum seekers, Special Immigrant Visa holders (SIV) and Afghan Humanitarian Parolees.
