As the sun set on our 2026 Ramadan Campaign, we found ourselves gathered around a table that represented more than just a meal. Our annual Community Iftar served as the heart of this month-long initiative, bringing together our newest neighbors for an evening of shared belonging.

The Power of a Shared Meal

The purpose of this year’s Iftar was clear: to facilitate a deep sense of community, particularly in the face of rising levels of Islamophobic and anti-immigrant rhetoric. It was a powerful stand for unity, featuring a dedicated time for prayer followed by a communal dinner. This gathering also gave us the opportunity to distribute food boxes of stable shelf stable foods to clients in the wake of increased food insecurity. Your support provided not only the meals for our clients but also transportation. 

Campaign Impact

The goal of this campaign was to sustain our general operations and host a meaningful Iftar for our clients. We are proud to share that through the Iftar and our digital outreach, we successfully raised over $6,000. These funds go directly toward the daily work of resettlement and advocacy.
