Video Update To Our Community

Our founder, Sloane Davidson, shares a few updates on our families and community at Hello Neighbor

March 30, 2020

Early this morning, I recorded a video message for you from my house. No production to it, simply a message from me to you.

Here’s a quick recap:

First of all, I wanted to check in and see how you are doing. There is so much anxiety and stress in the world right now. I continue to send my prayers to our healthcare workers and those on the frontline–also to those of you who are sick, have a family member or friend who is diagnosed and those facing financial hardship. Hello Neighbor is here for you. I’m here for you.

Second, we are continuing to talk to many of the refugee families enrolled in Hello Neighbor and communicate with their mentors on how to continue to provide care and support. We know they are also facing unemployment and paralyzing anxiety. We have helped families find free food resources, apply for unemployment and rent reductions, and navigate how to continue their child’s education without current access to a computer or internet.

Lastly, we are so thankful for you–our Hello Neighbor community. Your support continues to be what keeps us going and creates the opportunity for us to make an impact. We are navigating this uncertain time with our newest neighbors and we couldn’t do it without you.

We are actively working through ways to continue to support our families and know that we will all get through this–together.

Stay safe,
Sloane
