On April 28 , Hello Neighbor is celebrating 9 years of welcoming with our Birthday of Giving ! We’re beyond proud of how our neighborhood has grown over the years, from our founding in 2017 with our flagship mentorship program to the 14 unique programs we offer today.
From helping an expecting mother navigate the healthcare system to preparing a client for their first job in their new home, we supported over 1500 neighbors in the last year alone.
To celebrate nearly a decade of work, we’ve put together this new video overview of who we are, what we do, and why this work is so important.
The Work Ahead While we are proud of how far we’ve come, the landscape for our neighbors is currently very difficult. Following the revocation of SNAP benefits and increasing hurdles for those navigating the legal system, the families we serve are facing significant obstacles.
Our 9th Birthday of Giving is an opportunity to ensure we can stay responsive to these needs. This Tuesday, April 28, the first $9,000 donated will be doubled thanks to a generous match. Every gift helps us unlock these funds and continue the work of building a city where everyone can feel safe and supported. Thank you for being a part of this neighborhood for the last nine years.
