Family Night at The Children's Museum

A night of joy, exploration, and play for our neighbors

On Friday, November 14, the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh generously opened their doors after hours to welcome more than 250 of our newest neighbors for a joyful Family Night. Refugee and immigrant families were invited to explore the museum’s fun and interactive exhibits, create artwork in the studio, and share a delicious meal together. For many of the families who joined us, it was their very first visit to the Children’s Museum and the excitement was palpable from the moment they walked in.

We’re deeply grateful to the Children’s Museum for their generosity in hosting this special evening, and to the Junior League of Pittsburgh for volunteering their time and energy to make sure every family felt welcomed and supported.

Many families told us how meaningful the night was for them. One parent shared:

“Thank you so much for the wonderful opportunity to participate in the Family Night at the Children’s Museum. It was a truly enjoyable experience, and my children had a fantastic time. They experienced so many exciting emotions, and I believe these memories will stay with them forever. I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to you and all the organizers for making this event possible. It was clear how much effort was put into creating a welcoming and fun environment for families like ours.”

Evenings like this underline the power of community, belonging, and shared moments of joy. We’re so thankful to our partners and to every family who joined us for making this night one to remember.
